Discharged
Today was a bittersweet day for us. Hayden's home healthcare nurse discharged him from care. Yep, that's right. He has been DISCHARGED from home healthcare. His nurse has been coming monthly since this summer for weight checks. Since his weight continues to consistently increase despite all of the vomiting, his pediatrician feels that he is stable enough to forgo the monthly visit. With all of his doctor's appointments, he will be weighed every couple of months anyway. We will miss our nurse. She was wonderful to ask questions to and we never felt rushed with her visit. She has been coming to our house since August of 2007 when Nicholas came home from the NICU. It will be weird not to see her name on our many appointment calendars (one at home, one at work, one with me at all times) anymore. She lives in Ankeny, so I'm sure we'll run into her somewhere around town. Way to go, Hayden! Mommy and Daddy are very proud of you. Here's to a quiet 2010.
