Communication Cards

Today, an Adaptive technology specialist came to our house to show us a communication system they would like to start using with Hayden.  We are going to pick a couple of them to start with.  The goal is for him to hand us the card of the item he wants.  We will start with 2 cards to have him get used to choosing what he wants. We used puzzle and block today.  It was hard to tell if he really was trying to hand a card to us, or if he was just playing.  I'm not really sure how we will implement this yet since keeping cards near him will be a challenge, especially with Nicholas being so interested in them.  Who knows, maybe Nick will begin to use them to request things??   Here are a couple of examples of the cards:
