2.5 Year Pediatrician Appt.
Our pediatrician gave us all kinds of wonderful news today. First, the boys are on the "real" growth chart--finally! Not the preemie growth chart, or the twin chart, but the chart they would have been on if they had decided to come much closer to their due date. What big boys we have!! Nicholas went from the 0 percentile in height and weight (he still weighs 2 pounds less than Hayden) to the 2nd percentile. Yea! Mr. Hayden went from -5 to 2. Our other good news was that we were cleared to spend Thanksgiving with family as long as no one was sick. We weren't expecting that to happen because of H1N1. Apparently, it hits the respiratory system hard and both boys have chronic lung disease from being on the ventilator so long in the NICU. Not to mention children with cerebral palsy and epilepsy do not do well with H1N1. With both of those things against us, we expected a Thanksgiving at home just the four of us. Since they had the vaccine and there wasn't much H1N1 around at the time, a family holiday is in store for us. We are soooo excited. Especially since there will be family there that we don't get to see as much as we'd like.
